Mackintosh Gloss White Kitchen in Honiton, Devon

Designed by Ruth Salway

Every project we are given takes time to understand to ensure the room works just the way you would like it to. This project was no exception. Designing a modern modular kitchen in an older property with distinct zones for convenience began with an expansive island with seating as the focal point. Anthracite and white gloss Mackintosh cabinetry work well with the spectacular effects of a Black Cosmic granite worksuface illuminating the island like fireworks in a night sky. Oak accents in the kitchen and the welcoming Aga bring a sense of homeliness to the room.

A bronzed vintage mirror sitting directly behind the Aga reflects the light beautifully and compliments the gold fabric in the surrounding stone. Hidden drawers and curved cupboards offer quick access to pots, pans and utensils keeping the room clutter free. A tall bank of appliance housing assist the Aga at busy times when entertaining with a Neff single oven and warming drawer. The pyrolytic cleaning function is the easiest and most effective system to use and banishes the need for unwelcomed household chores allowing more time for you. The fully integrated dishwasher offers a timelight feature avoiding unsightly exterior controls and keeps the house up to date with long clean lines and a fantastic fusion of old and new.
